Next Gen Scholars
NATMUS looks to future generations to preserve its heritage, so we have created a program to involve local youth in the museum.
What started with 1-2 kids, has grown into a program with growing popularity known as our Wednesday Work Group. Our youth get hands-on experience working on vehicle restoration, while also having fun and learning life skills.
About the Youth Program
NATMUS provides an immersive experience for middle school and high school students aged 13 to 18 that focuses on mechanical skills and museum upkeep.
Each youth member that joins the program is assigned a mentor and rotates through different types of projects, leading to hands-on experience in every aspect of the museum operations. It’s a real-life model for learning.
